Celebrating the first day of spring

First day of spring 2013

I don’t know about you but it seems as though this winter has gone on forever – I don’t think I’ve been able to feel comfortably warm since about October last year! I’m even past caring whether hot-water bottles are cool or not (mine’s in the shape of a penguin, in case you were wondering!).

So I thought I’d celebrate the first day of spring photographically – and as I write this the sun is only just starting to set over the sea. I don’t think we’ll be slipping on our shorts for a while yet though. But woo hoo! – the warmer weather is hopefully on its way!
