Lovely, they look so good. I’m sure crab and apple is a fabulous combination of tastes. I have to try out this recipe.

In reply to ediblethings. Thanks for this lovely recipe Heather. I have been thinking that it is about time I dressed a crab, so I'm going to have a go with this recipe.

And because I am tight, I shall squeeze the juice from the apple into a glass, and drink it, or add it to something else.

Hiya Mel, I’m writing up the recipe as we speak! I keep seeing bushes laden with fruit but usually when I’m on the way to something so I can’t stop and collect them – it’s always the way. Guess I should carry a tupperware with me at all times… I like the sound of blackberry vinegar – I bet that’s incredible on salad.

I can’t wait for this recipe. I’d never have thought of putting them together, but now you have it sounds fantastic. Does the variety of apple also matter? I am imagining something a bit sharper, rather than sweet, but I guess I’ll have to wait and see.
I hope that you have a better blackberry crop than I have this year. I am bitterly disappointed with the 300 g I have managed this year. I’m considering a purchase, since I cannot be without blackberry vinegar.
