The light is changing now and there’s a noticeable chill in the air. It’s my favourite time of year though, as long as the rain holds off. The sunlight has a warm, orangey glow to it and the tourist season here in Brighton also finally beginning to slow down.
A few more pics from a recent ‘sweet treats’ shoot. Trying to conjure a feeling of ‘light’ at this dark and miserable time of year is no easy task! Still, good hot coffee is always welcome.
I’m taking a few days off over Easter to spend some time with friends and family – and, of course, eat a few hot cross buns! Wishing you all a very happy Easter break.
There’s an abundance of food publications around at the moment, but few are quite as beautiful as Gather Journal, a bi-annual recipe-driven food magazine. Features include, recipes, entertaining, food essays and some simply breathtaking photography. I’m hooked.

The snow is falling heavily in Brighton today. It’s the kind of day when you want to be snuggled up warm and cosy at home with a hot drink, a warm blanket and plenty of nice things to eat. Funnily enough, that is exactly what I plan to do!
I hope you’re warm wherever you are.
