Hi Richard, Mine were from a friend but I know Abel and Cole stock them (http://www.abelandcole.co.uk/) and I heard that Sainsburys currently have them too. I didn't think to try Taj - would love to know if you do find them there. H

Thanks so much for your comments! I never thought of putting vanilla in the marmalade - it sounds like it would be lovely though. And if your hubby doesn't like it then all the more for you! I'll have to check out the British Larder method to the next time I make it. I love the taste of the one I made but I did have to do it over two days, so would love to find a simpler method.

Wonderful foodie blog, congratulations. I made marmalade for the first time this year after word got out amongst NZ food bloggers that Seville Oranges were available. Home grown in the Hawkes Bay area in North East NZ. I used a one stage method from The British Larder and it's the best marmalade I've ever tasted. We have two types - one with vanilla and one just plain. My husband says the vanilla one is too girly for him but I love it and it's perfect for eating now which is of course our summer.
Domestic Executive www.domestic-executive.com

I hadn't thought of clementines! This year I intend to experiment with limes, and grapefruit. I am also hoping that a friend who goes to Seville every February will bring me some. I will have to bribe her with lots of dinners!

Thanks for the clementines tip!
Mel

Hi Mel, thanks for dropping by and commenting on my blog - my first comment - woohoo! Such a shame you can't get hold of Sevilles in the Netherlands. You could try with other types though, clementines etc make wonderful marmalade. :) x
